>>19735274Timid and trust very few people. Took her a couple years to open up and talk to my parents without being shy and kinda hiding behind me during family gatherings, etc. She still continually wants me to hold her hand, wrap my arm around her and stay close to me tight when we go out in public together, rarely wants to leave the house and doesn't like talking to people unless absolutely necessary. She has panic attacks when I'm not around. I do a remote work from home job so that's not a problem now. Her and my mom have bonded pretty strongly. She basically says she's never had a real mom before my mom practically adopted her. I get where she's coming from since her family disowned her. She took to American food pretty quickly. Lives dairy queen blizzards and double bacon cheeseburgers. That's where we get dinner from at least 2 times a week.
