I believe this.
After I had mine removed, I had nasty, continous, watery diarrhea for almost a full month. For the first week I literally could not stop shooting diarrhea out of my ass. And since then, I've found that it's a lot easier to get digestive issues overall.
But I don't think it involves your immune system in general, since I never caught covid and I'm still never getting sick. I think the last time I had a cold was a few years ago.
