I fixed Germany (and Netherlands)

Here's an "alternate timeline" map of Germanic states for which there is practically no historical precedent or cohesive what-ifs for them all existing at the same time.

Largely based on both internal and external ethnolinguistic divisions.

Swabia is based on
- The historic Stem Duchy of Swabia
- The full spread of Alemannic dialects prior to the Alsatians giving up on German identity.
The difference between the two being that the full spread of Alemannic dialects includes territory that historically fell under Burgundy rather than Swabia.

Austria-Bavaria is based on Austro-Bavarian and East/High Franconian dialect speaking regions, including South Tyrol and South Sudetenland.

North Germany is based essentially on pre-world-war ethnic borders.

Netherlands have Flanders, Dunkirk and East Friesland.

Then there's the Rhenish clusterfuck, based on the Middle Franconian region, differing from historical Rhineland regions in its exclusion of the Low Franconian speaking regions, and inclusion of Luxembourg, Hess (note the COA on the flag with the eagle being a carry-over from the Prussian Rhine Province), and Palatinate.

Please rate.
