My predecessors were Slovaks, Germans, Bosnians, Hungarians.
They were not nobles, mostly peasants, farmers, perhaps winemakers. In World War II, they fought together with the Germans against the Bolsheviks.
In communist times, they were enemies of the regime, never joined the party.
