I have an idea in a situation where ALL life on earth would be destroyed (meteorite or something). The idea consist of putting microorganisms in a small but reinforced tank filled with water. In that same tank,there would be a hole filed with a softer material but that is somewhat strong.

So if something happens to all of us,the little microorganisms in the tank will eventually develop to eat or erase in any way the small hole to get out of the tank,and repopulate the earth. This is smart,right?
