The truth is they went to the moon but probably lying about how successful the mission was. Coupled with them faking it too. Classic plan a plan b approach. Failure wasn't an option, there was probably plan c through z.
So yeah, while they went to the moon they also faked video of doing so.
Maybe they went to the moon but never actually came home. Not much of a propaganda win putting skeletons on the moon, it would be sad and scary and ruin the entire triumph of the thing.
We're they trying to go to the moon? Yes. Did they succeed? Probably to some extent. Did they concurrently create fake evidence of going to the moon? Absolutely.
The truth is much of the moon landing is fake and some is real. Imagine the US during the cold war putting all their eggs in one basket, and that basket is sending people to the moon and having them return. Yeah right. Only an idiot would think they didn't have contingency planning.
My money is on unmanned moon landing. No return flight. Video and photos of astronauts on the moon fake, but hitting the moon with rockets and even landing sometime that doesn't immediately explode wouldn't be too far out of reach.
The idea that it could be real AND faked concurrently is so obvious, yet overlooked, it's clearly been slid for decades.
