i hate how badly they fucked with cs. third party matchmaking always had it's place, and achieving global was always the bare minimum for scraping the lower echelons of professional play, like your admission into faceit/esea. matchmaking was rarely ever seriously to the point that these third party services would allow you to take it, which made it an entirely different game of cs to play. from matchmaking, you have to assume the level of understanding of core cs concepts in the game within your teammates, and adjust your own playing accordingly. like a matchmaking team usually won't know a strat better than rushing into a bombsite blindly, whereas a thirdparty matchmaking team may attempt an actual strat because people are able to understand and coordinate such directives.
now it's like they want to make cs matchmaking the third party thing when it's never held that prestige before, when the way that people play the game is inherently different compared to a third party service just because of the level of understanding of the game. it's almost like the people working on cs have abandoned the core game, and are focusing on trying to make it competitively viable against valorant, even though that's a fucking kid's game. the gunplay has never felt worse, spraying feels like it has no purpose at medium range, when one would pour hours over honing in an accurate spray pattern at most ranges. tapping also feels ridiculously easy, like they want everyone to feel like onetap gods, even though that completely revokes any reason to spray ever. the design philosophy seems like they forgot about the old mechanics that i fell in love with. now they give me this abomination, completely kill cs:go's support with no remorse, and expect me to enjoy it. if they wanna be like valorant, then fuck them. fuck the prestige of being the only real fps. only money matters in this world.
