im making turkey thighs in my dutch oven right now. i made a paste out of melted butter, fuckload of garlic and some spices and rubbed those babies down (dont forget to get some under the skin) got some diced up potatoes, onions and garlic on a tray in the oven too.
in a couple hours ill take em out and fry up some mushrooms for a side. Ill make some gravy from the juices in the pot too. gunna be real tasty

I have been making roasted chicken recently and experimenting with different veggies to cook the chicken ontop of. I have found that onion, when put into a food processor and applied to the bottom of the pan with garlic creates an insanely flavorful chicken that only needs a little salt.

depends on the heat anon, im slow cooking on a pretty low temp with big ass cast iron pot in the oven so itll be a couple hours
you could just put em right on a tray at like 400 degrees Celsius for an hour, flip em halfway through then flip them again and jack the heat up for the last 10 minutes so they crisp up a bit

One of my local grocery stores has these weekly meal deals that I just discovered. This week, if you bought 2lbs of chicken tenderloins you got a free bag of celery, free bag of baby carrots, chicken broth and a bag of egg noodles. So I made a big pot of chicken noodle soup for the first time. It was really good. I normally do a lot of cooking, but I just make very simple stuff. I like the meal deals because it encourages me to try new recipes while saving money.

any tips? I did 3 cups of chicken stock + a 15 oz can of crushed tomatoes + my seasonings. had to add a little more stock as it thickened because the rice was a bit hard still. it was okay but it did turn out a little "pasty".
