why dont people often get creeped out by mushrooms?
its easy to just think they're a plant that can be food, but theres something unearthly about fungus
their structure seems unnatural when you look at it closely, and their bodies are completely unlike any fruit or plant, almost as if its halfway between flesh and plant
and theres enough evidence that these fuckers' roots act like a brain and have consciousness
like looking at them i just expect it to start moving or breathing
