>>19871729The phrase "meaning of life" only originates from the 1833 novel Sartor Restartus by Thomas Carlyle, placing its origin right at the end of the Industrial Revolution. People always assume it must be some timeless ancient question, but it isn't at all. The existence of the question itself, and the timing of its origination gives clues as to its answer.
In my belief it all comes down to purpose. You need to find some purpose, some thing that makes existence worth experiencing to you. That purpose, whatever it is, is your meaning. There is no singular "THE" meaning of life, though there are some common ones such as love of friends, family and community, engaging in daily work that betters the lives of those around you, and becoming a valued member of a community.
