I would say Japan is a good 10-20 years behind america when it comes to pozzed stuff, but they're not like the 1950s anymore. The women born in the 1970's or so were still mostly traditional, but hoeflation is taking effect here as well, but you can have honest conversations as well, such as: "I am working my ass off and bringing in good money, I expect you to do the same level of effort at home-making. Or if I can afford a maid, etc. then I expect you to help with social events, schmoozing with the boss' wife etc, so my career progresses smoothly." In 10-20 years I expect the combination of:

Asian women already have a lot of options if they know where to look, and they'll figure it out sooner than later. So far, the couples I've seen are relatively normal (dorky, nice white guy who works hard meets a similar level jap girl and they have a nice, comfy family together) but that could change if the jap girl thinks she deserves more and isn't satisfied by a good husband.
