>>19927152during lent in medieval catholic countries people didn't eat meat or eggs, however since eggs have such a long shelf life by the end of the lemt people had plenty, they didn't have lots of meat beacuse they didn't kill any animals during lent and even if they did it would spoil.
so by the end of the lent on easter people would have lots of eggs, they decided to paint and decorate them in yellow, red, green whatever and give them as gifts
the rabbit is because while rabbits are pregnant they can conceive another litter, so by the time they give birth of the first litter the second one comes quickly after even when there were no males around to impregnate the females, this gives the idea of parthenogenesis- virgin birth (just like Jesus has in the new testament mythology in gospels of Matthew and Luke)
the name Easter comes from the month it was celebarted in (Eostermonat) which got it's name from the germanic spring goddess Eostre. but the name is the only thing it got from the germanic goddess, if anybody claims anything else comes from her or ishtar they are openly lying and participating in disinformation.
same with reffering to jesus as Yeshua. It's perfectly fine calling Jesus: Jesus, Iesos, Yeshu, Joshua, Josh, JC, + any variants of the names Jesus or Joshua in your language; but it's disinformative to call Jesus Yeshua because if there was an Arameic speaking 2nd temple apocalypticist from Galilee his name wasn't Yeshua
remember that just because theres no invisible storm deity watching over all mankind- it's still not okay to spread misinformation (because it makes people actually believing in the storm deity that watches over all mankind look more mentally balanced, which shouldn't be the case sgiven they believe in an ancient invisible immortal sky deity that watches over all mankind and either does everyhting or eerily little depending on which one of the believers you ask)
