guns have not been around that long on the cosmic scale, much less guns as we know them. a century ago this bullet didn't exist.
soldiers are trained in much more than just shooting guns. boot camp can't be boiled down to just target practice. if 60% of our forces confirmed kills were by gunshot, (which is incredibly generous) then what accounts for the other 40? all of our other weapons. my people are on the cutting edge of weapons technology, to the point where experimentation with odd ideas is common here. every day, thousands of dollars are spent developing new technologies. that adds up.
guns are not the big killer of the planet earth.
