There is some kind of unusual demographic phenomenon happening in China. I'm seeing a lot of ethnic Chinese girls posting on their weibos the classic "dog whistles" and speaking in code about certain things. It's not the typical frustrated denigration of asian masculinity anymore.
Something distinctly changed after 2010. There is a significant foothold of "BBC" fetishization culture in China. The mindvirus that has been plaguing the west has landed in China. But unlike the American-- who has been desensitized and innoculated to niggers and nigger culture-- the novelty of BBC has completely ravaged the sensitive Chinese mind.
Don't take it from me, simply look at the massive unprecedented spike of native Chinese-speaking BBC memes and symbology directly borrowed from the contemporary west. Not only borrowed, but mutated and evolved into it's own distinct form of Chinese BBC obsession.
They even have their own word for it: "Mei Hei"
