we built cars because we didn't want to spend the time and money raising and feeding horses to travel.
we built guns because we didn't want to spend the time and effort filing stones to make spears.
and we built computers because we didn't want to spend the time and effort computING. the computers do our math now. even people who work jobs where you absolutely need math to get by, they still have computers do it because legally, they cannot take that chance. safety regulations completely flatten the argument that you'll need to do math in your head later in life.
