I would rank the ones I could get my hands on slightly below blueberries and strawberries, but it’ll probably change for the better once I get my hands on proper ripe ones.

You could also try to buy a seed or even a sapling as the seed in the fruit you bought might be optimised for sweetness and growth rate, sacrificing some of the survivability of the OG.
Maybe some of the selected traits negatively impacted the natural reproduction mechanisms, so that you essentially have to buy a plant sapling instead of harvesting the seed directly from the fruit.
