There are those who say USD will implode, so you don't have to hold fiat, but you can use profit to buy other assets or treat yourself before the collapse.

Another Take Profit strategy, though higher risk, is to move everything when you think there will be a downturn. Say your bag is up 30%. You sell 90% of it thinking it's going to collapse again. Then it drops 30%, and you reenter your position buying even more. Rinse and repeat. This has happened to XRP twice since 12/1/2023.
The riskier strategy is to short after you sell your 90%, riding Up the bear market, but considering we're all retarded, that's a decent way to lose a lot of money on the wrong bet.

Taking profit on the ride up is the stupidest shit you could possibly do. Taking profit anywhere from the $1-$50 range is pure retardation. Above that, and it’s not that outlandish as you could likely quit your day job and ride the candles to both life changing wealth and generational wealth.
Selling 90% of your stack before it reaches $1k per xrp and I guarantee you’ll be contemplating suicide after you blow through your multimillion dollar leftover pittance.
The only acceptable strategy for taking profit, in my opinion, is cashing out a SMALL portion of 500-1k at the $50-$100 range conservatively spent over a year on regular expenses (even if cashing out $100k coming from a ~30k/yr wagie cage). Leftovers should be invested in index funds or etfs in anticipation of the coming tax bill for the xrp disposition. Vanguard 500 index if the economy isn’t tanking as a result of the switch being flipped, or else oil, aerospace, and defense etfs if war finally pops off.
We’re in this for the long haul, not for a quick buck, and if you are, then you’re in the wrong thread. Every part of your profit taking strategy should be focused on generational wealth by maximizing long term gains and minimizing short term expenses.

The fact that this is an Appellate Court ruling gives it a lot more weight.
Literally every other lawsuit that the SEC launches involving crypto related company, that isn't Ripple, moves through the legal system at lightning speed.
I hope the SEC tries to appeal this Appellate Court Coinbase ruling to the Supreme Court.
Then hopefully the Supreme Court decides to hear it, and rules in Coinbase's favor.
Then when the SEC tries to appeal Judge Torres' ruling on the Ripple lawsuit, the Appellate Court will decline to hear the SEC's appeal, citing the Supreme Court's Coinbase ruling.
The SEC gives zero fucks about the law, and are exactly the type of vindictive greedy lying assholes that would file an infinite number of appeals.
It's just taxpayer money funding them, and they'll spend it like drunken sailors.
But if the Court of Appeals decides to not hear the SEC's appeal, then the lawsuit is done forever.

They've slowly been losing this battle. First with crypto and the whole "not your keys, not your coin." Then the GME retail investors discovered the whole main street vs directly in your name issue where the core issue is if your brokerage fails (((creditors))) have rights to your stock over you. Next we got that ex wall street dude with his The Great Taking book spreading the same message that the DTCC owns everything and stock held in brokerages that fail will be seized by creditors while you get worthless hyperinflated dollars because you no longer have property rights over your shares. The state of Tennessee took note of this and had the author over to explain his case and Tennessee is looking to pass laws to restore property rights to their people and say fuck (((creditors))).

Why bother?
Most of us are already pretty demoralized on our own.
They don't need to pay people to directly harass us, when the years of endless crabbing and slow bleed outs, and the never ending SEC lawsuit, are more than enough to depress us.

If xrp hits $200, I'll sell 5,000 xrp.
If xrp hits $500, I'll sell 5,000 xrp.

Some think we'll go to $37,500 per xrp, but I don't.
$10 to $20 in 3 months - 2 years.
$100 to $200 3 - 5 years.
$1000 to $2000 end of 2030 price target.

At that point, if there is no other safe way to make interest off of xrp, I'll put half of my remaining bag of xrp into the amm.
I don't want to touch the amm, until xrp is $2000 or higher.
That way I won't lose most of the value to impermanent loss.
I plan on keeping some of my xrp as xrp no matter what.

The xrp I do sell, I want to buy a lot of farmable land, far away from any major cities or military bases.
A house, guns, ammo, non-perishable food, water, fuel, etc.
I'll also diversify some into other investments.
Like another anon suggested, I'll meet with a financial planner, an accountant, and a lawyer to help me plan how to protect my wealth.

So the SEC is trying to cheat and sneak in expert witness testimony, over a month past the deadline for such testimony,
by disguising the testimony as summary testimony.
Ripple specifically asked the judge to not reopen expert witness discovery, in order to give Ripple time to rebuttal the SEC's expert witness,
and instead basically throw out all of the SEC's expert witness' testimony,
since it is well outside the deadline.
The SEC are such fucking slimeballs.
Their real goal here is to get the judge to reopen the discovery process, and further push back the end of the trial.
I read over the whole 6 page document, and I thought that Ripple did a good job of showing why the judge shouldn't allow the testimony, nor re-open discovery.
They cited relevant case law to back up their claims.
I hope Judge Torres doesn't reopen the discovery process.

What did surprise me, is that nowhere in the 6 page document does Ripple ever address the amount of the SEC's requested fine.
The SEC in their last court filing, said they want Ripple to pay $2 billion in fines to the SEC.
Ripple attacks the reasoning behind that assessment, but strangely enough, they never offer a counterproposal for the suggested fine amount.
I was expecting Ripple to propose some kind of counteroffer number.
Like "we're prepared to pay a fine of $50 million, and no more.
Then the SEC would say that's preposterous, and lower their suggested fine to $1 billion.
And then they haggle back and forth.
It seems like Ripple is putting the full responsibility for deciding the fine amount on judge Torres, and they aren't engaging in haggling.
Which makes a settlement extremely unlikely.

Not that anon, but Francis Hunt has compelling analysis for $16 on a 33x from his technical analysis. I plan on offloading some of my stack around there to make more passive tradfi kosher income, divvies and whatnot. More pms if those haven't moved majorly yet. Liquidity providing makes more sense once Ripple's usd stablecoin has less friction for swapping back to tradfi. AMMs don't make sense if you expect asymmetric upside in one of the asset pairs due to impermanent loss.

I always thought that USDC would come to XRPL sooner rather than later and be the first stablecoin on XRPL, but for some reason, Ripple decided to launch their own. I have no idea how USDC now ties in with XRPL anymore. Maybe that's USDC, but on XRPL, so Circle (Blackrock) controls the ERC20 one and Ripple controls the XRPL one.

no, i think they have different use cases. xrpl is more useful for transmitting value (and information about money) whereas Hedera hashgraph is more useful for data and information-related use cases like certification- for example, carbon credits and their underlying data, or tokenized securities and other financial instruments.
HBAR the native token for the network provides access to the network than a carrier of value itself if that makes sense.
Hedera is cool though, imo HBAR and Filecoin are two of the ones that will stick around. I'm not sure HBAR will be as fruitful of an investment just because of its tokenomics but i could be wrong (and if it starts getting used even on a small scale by the corporations its partnered with, it would make sense for it to increase in value)
there's a guy named Wes Geisenberger who works for HBAR fdn who is one of the smartest people i've ever met.

Talking about HBAR reminded me of some old cryptos I haven't thought about in ages.
I used to own a small amount of IOTA years ago.
I sold it all a long time ago, and came out mostly even, with a tiny amount of profit (less than 3%).
Everyone talks about how closely XLM's and XRP's lifetime charts mirror each other.
But no one mentions how IOTA's and XRP's lifetime charts mirror each other.

They both had their all time highs in the 2017 bull run.
Then they crashed, and crabbed for 4 years.
Then they pumped in the 2021 bull run to not even half of what they had achieved in 2017.
Then they crashed, and have crabbed ever since.
Both completely ignoring this current bull run, like they don't want to get out of bed, and prefer to just rot and get bed sores.
Kind of depressing to look at.

They are both like that guy who peaked in high school, and can't seem to regain his past glory.
Like washed up athletes, crippled by life altering injuries.
XRP will never forget that day it met the SEC in that dark alley.
When the SEC broke both of XRP's kneecaps.
XRP will never be able to play football again.
It's been limping along ever since.
Maybe it can take the SEC's kneecaps to replace it's own damaged ones.

I think it's this one. They're shoving XRP down everyone's throats while simultaneously making it as unattractive as possible. The Govil case establishing precedent at the Appellate level was a real boon to Ripple.
The SEC can say that investors theoretically lost money, but because of Govil they have to prove that they lost money, in order for that to count against Ripple in the fine calculation.

I thought the only thing left was haggling over the fine amount.
This injunction stuff is new to me.
I'm worried about the ODL part of the injunction.
I hope that part gets carved out as an exception like Jeremy thinks the judge will do.
If it doesn't, that will be very, very bad for Ripple.

Towards the end of the video, he makes it sound like a foregone conclusion that the SEC is going to file an appeal.
He made it sound like the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple is personal for them and they are vindictive.
Which makes me wonder what will happen to the price of xrp the instant the SEC files it's appeal.
XRP doesn't pump on good news; it just crabs.
It only dumps with Bitcoin.
