I remember once hearing about some marine animals (can't remember the name though) of which all members would begin life as a biological male. When they encounter male, they use their penises to fight each other in a kind of "sword fight" until one of them manages to stab the other with their penis and injects their sperm into their opponent. The loser turns into a biological female and uses the sperm that the winner injected into them to procreate.
Nature's fucking intriguing, really.
