It's comparable to the American Civil War: Only the most politically opinionated and radical Vietnamese people have personal feelings and a side they support fifty years after the fact.
Remember that the last sixty years have been very difficult for Vietnamese people. They've had multiple wars, three different governments, famine, economic crisis, and a growing problem with China. Right now they're just happy to have a unified country that's developing in a positive direction.
