firstly i worked for 5 years full time though I did 3 jobs and took about a year of benifits in between all of these jobs. i dumped all my money into crypto. then I quit my job in 2021 and went travelling cause my folio was high. I travelled for a year then I worked for 8 months then I travelled for 5 months and then came back and I worked for 4 months and now I'm about to leave again for an entire year. I dind't move out so I could put all my money - food expenses into crypto so I have a million euro NW now. started late 2017. my plan is to work a few months a year + bennies and then travel for a year. idk. sometimes I want to go wage. I was wage free for a long time and it gets boring too. everything gets boring. part time work is probably the best. maybe i want to go do some real work like cleaning up plastic pollution or something. sometihing useful

the only thing I do not want to really do anymore is sit infront a computer for my job. it kills my soul. it kills my body. it kills my eyes. i get gigadepressed. programming and IT work is fucking horrible I hate it now. give me some physical job a few days a week.that actually makes me happy. a physical job for maybe max half a year per year and then i go off and enjoy my life until i'm bored of the beach and having sex with my gf and then i go back into a physical job. cause those desk jobs make me fucking depressed man. after a physical job i feel good.

Don't know, Anon. I always assumed physical jobs are bad as well, but I can agree that IT is soul sucking as hell. Nothing gets done, all the inane bullshit meetings and of course the fact that you don't move all day.

I got a job as a merchandiser. You put stuff on shelves for 3 hours a day. Allows me to be a NEET for all but 3 hours a day. No interaction no micromanagement its pretty chill.

I did devops for 3 years and then i did database management for 2 years. and I wanted to KMS. I would have KMS if it wasn't for my bitcoin stack. the only hope i had. the past 3 years I do the odd physical job. it's so nice. sooooo nice. of course if i had to do it day in day out for a decade i'd kms too but if you are financially O.K and just work some days when you want, some months when you want. its fucking awesome.

Part-timer here. I actually have a dynamic schedule (motion) where I put all the shit I should do (cleaning, reading, exercise, etc) so when I am bored I open the app. It tells me what to do and I do it. I understand it's weird, but it's nice to not take decisions sometimes. Free time can become paralyzing too. In the end, I read books, I write, I lift and I play vidya. I also have a gf (full time student) that takes up some time. I don't understand how full timers do it. When I need money I ask for more shifts (I work in a hospital, always more work available). Usually work 2-3 days.
