>>20108459The guy who started DeBeers, the original company that had the diamond monopoly in South Africa and cemented apartheid, wasn't Jewish. He was an asexual retard who was bankrolled and steered by the Rothschilds though.
>>20108459Diamonds aren't rare at all. Gem quality ones are rare, however, industrial use (think fine sand size) are common as hell. Among gems though, diamonds are extremely common and only grew in price due to DeBeers controlling supply and marketing them as rare. Same fucktards that started diamond engagement rings being the standard in the 1950s, before then engagement rings weren't very popular at all and diamond rings less so.
Debeers is no longer a monopoly, diamonds are easily obtained, and legit diamonds (not glass) are lab made. Lab created gems are actually the same as real gems on a molecular level with the only difference between real and fake being the real gems have flaws in their makeup (deep deposits of different minerals, non-uniform structure, etc).
The only thing in jewelry that is actually rare is the gold and silver (all the gold in the world melted into one pure mass would be around the size of two Olympic sized swimming pools).
I can forgive the typical gifts of gold jewelry at weddings in some cultures because that jewelry is meant to be used as an emergency cash supply that doesn't lose value and a lot of other cultures charge face value of gold for a piece of jewelry plus the time it takes to make it (laid out and verifiable) in a lot of countries. Hilariously, a heavy cuban link necklace is usually a fifth to a tenth of the price in those nations because of such pricing compared to USA and European nations. Jewelry, in general, is a complete scam in the western world.
