The funny thing is that I completely forgot about all of the ISO 20022 deadlines.
All of the deadlines for ISO 20022 in the past had zero effect on the price of xrp, so I literally just stopped giving a shit about them.
I'm not going to get my hopes up over the March 10th one, or any other intermediary dates.
I might have a little bit of hope for November 2025 if that's the very last deadline for ISO 20022.
Maybe the last deadline will count for something.

I'm starting to feel the same way about the lawsuit.
I want to believe that Ripple paying it's fine will lead to some kind of pump.
But the more I think about it, I'm probably just trying to give myself some false hope, so I can survive another day.
We should really be looking towards the Supreme Court as being the true end of the lawsuit.
Ripple paying its fine is probably going to be extremely disappointing event, xrp price action wise.

About a month ago, the SEC tried to sneak in Expert Witness testimony (disguised as Summary Witness Testimony), as part of their $2 billion fine suggestion to Judge Torres.
Last week, Ripple rightly pointed out that the window for the SEC to submit Expert Witness Testimony has expired over a month ago, and that their testimony should be thrown out.
The SEC is going to respond to Ripple's accusation tomorrow.
Although I don't know if we the public get access to that response the same day.
Ripple then gets 3 days to respond to whatever bullshit the SEC will say tomorrow.
So basically, the SEC is going to Respond tomorrow, but only to the specific accusation that Ripple accused it off, that I listed above.

To summarize the recent filings on both sides:
The SEC’s opening brief was submitted on March 22, 2024.
Ripple’s opposition brief was submitted on April 22, 2024.

The SEC’s reply brief is due May 6, 2024.
And then I'm pretty sure there is one final court deadline that's due on May 20th, but I can't remember for the life of me what it is.
Then we get to wait somewhere between 1 to 3 months after May 20th for Judge Torres to decide on how much Ripple should pay, and what injunctions should be made against Ripple's ODL sales.
Then we wait probably 30 to 90 days after that for Ripple to pay the fine.
Then there will probably be some maximum allowable period of time that the SEC has to decide if they will file an appeal.
So whatever amount of time that is, the SEC will wait until the very last hour of the last day to file it's appeal.
Then we move on to the Appellate Court.

Assuming the Supreme Court also decides to hear the case, I'm guessing 1 to 2 years total (from today) to work it's way through both courts.
The longest wait will be between the SEC filing an appeal to the Supreme Court and them actually hearing the case.
The Supreme Court is slow as fuck.
They take frequent long ass breaks where they are not in session.
And they often have a backlog of cases waiting for them to decide on if they will even decide to hear them.
Let's hope that the Appellate Court and Supreme Court have very few cases before them and are board as fuck when the SEC files it's appeals.
Or hope that both courts unfairly skip the SEC vs. Ripple case to the front of the line.
Fuck those other cases waiting for on appeal.

I wouldn't go that far.
I think once we win at the Supreme Court, we should go past all time high of $3.84.
And we also have the final deadline for ISO 20022 in November 20022, which might lead to some price bump.
Even if we don't get the moon till 2030, I think we should get some major positive price movement once the Supreme Court is done.
Couple that with ISO 20022 implementation being completed, and hopefully the new congress will pass some crypto legislation that Ripple is already following, what reason will banks and companies have left to avoid Ripple?
They can put off the big stuff being implemented until 2030, but we should see some major adoption in between then.
Which has to lead to some positive price movement.
The only way it doesn't, is if Ripple keeps employing that company that is using bots to suppress the price, until 2030.
But why would they?
Once the Supreme Court is done, the coast will be clear.
Keeping it low price till 2030 would just be cruel and evil.

Storytime.
3 years ago I spent $10K on Grumpy Cat Coin, because I thought it was going to moon.
Then the copyright owner of Grumpy Cat filed a cease and desist letter against Uniswap of all places.
Uniswap delisted it.
Which is retarded because they could only delist it from their app and website.
You could still trade Grumpy Cat Coin manually.
But it was enough to kill the coin.
I stupidly hodled it the entire way down.

Bitter and frustrated Grumpy Cat Coin hodlers created a fork called Pawtherium which we all got for free.
There was even a 2nd fork called MeowDao, but that never went anywhere.
I actually had all of my money back and would have broke even if I had sold at that exact moment.
Instead of selling, I took out a $20K personal loan and bought more Pawtherium.
Turned out I bought almost the exact top of the Bitcoin bullrun at the end of 2021.
Litteraly the next day, Bitcoin crashed, and with it Pawtherium.
I held it for 2 years and finally sold it in early 2023.
Including the loan interest, I had spent about $32k.
I ended up getting about $680 when I sold.

Could you have made it by now off of shitcoins?
Sure.
But you also could have lost it all like I did.
When I see shitcoins moon now, it doesn't bother me, because I know I'll pick the wrong one or hold it too long.
What does bother me is when stuff like Solana does a 20x or StrongHold Token does a 10x.
Both of which are coins I had looked at buying and decided to buy xrp instead back in early 2021.

Most tech startups survive off of investor capital for those first couple of years, until they can start making a profit.
You could look at Ripple in a similar way.
They are building a business, building relationships, and they will eventually become profitable.
The problem is that most tech startups take 3 to 5 years before they start making a profit.
The company Ripple was founded in 2012.
The fact that they haven't been able to turn a profit without their sales of xrp in 12 years is not good.
Amazon only took 9 years to turn a profit.
I feel like this is something Ripple employees should be pressed on twitter and at conferences.
They should be asked repeatedly why Ripple hasn't been able to turn a profit, without xrp sales, in 12 years.
Embarrass the fuck out of them.

After I lost all of that money, I just decided it was an idiot tax that I volunteered to pay, and swore off ever gambling on shitcoins again.
I had already bought 50K of xrp a few months before the whole shitcoin mistake started, when I cashed in my 401K.
The next year, I put in a ton of overtime at work, stopped going out to eat, and did nothing but save money.
I eventually used that money to double my bag of xrp.
I now own 100K xrp.
I might eventually buy some other blue chip crypto.
But now seems like a bad time to do so.
I'll wait until this bullrun is done before I consider buying anything.
Then again, this might be the very last bullrun.

I was just going to post these.

I glanced them over, and it looks like the SEC is going with the Big Lie approach.
They're basically claiming that their witness is only a Summary witness, and not an Expert witness.
Their reasoning behind this is to claim that their Summary witness is only doing basic arithmetic that anyone can do.
Then they say that Ripple never countered any of the evidence that their Summary witness presented.
Which is bullshit and a trap.
If Ripple had tried to counter the arguments and "evidence" that the SEC's Summary (Expert) witness presented, then it's basically like Ripple ceding that the witness is summary only, and thus legitimate.
The SEC also claims that Ripple tried this exact same tactic in the past, and that the judge rejected their arguments back then.
No idea if that part is true or not.
I'll keep an eye on the twitter lawyers to see if any of them offer any analysis.
Ripple has 3 days to respond to the SEC's accusations.

It's only a bad argument, if the SEC is telling the truth when they say this is just basic math.
In order for us to know whether that is true or not, we would have to look at the original document where the SEC submitted their request for a $2 billion fine, and examine all of the basis for that fine that they put forth in that document.
Then look at Ripple's response to that document.
Then look at the SEC's rebuttal (which we just got today).
I do remember when the SEC submitted it's $2 billion fine, I glanced through the document at the time.
And I remember being confused by a good portion of it.
But that doesn't mean anything, since I'm not a lawyer.
No response from Jeremy yet.
He's been slacking on the speed of his responses.
And some of the smaller legal developments in the case he doesn't even comment on at all.
I'm going to look for comments from other lawyers.
I'm biased against the SEC, and I lack basic underlying legal expertise to figure this out.

I'm going to bet that if the lawsuit isn't done with all appeals, then Ripple's 2nd stablecoin (xrp is the original stablecoin) will get pushed back until the Supreme Court makes a ruling.
I doubt they will launch a stablecoin while the lawsuit appeals are still ongoing.

Sounds fun, although I don't believe this has any benefits for Ripple from a marketing standpoint. My frens.
I have been sacrificing my ALGO in DeFi to learn about AMMs and LPs.
On 4/20 I deposited a total of $1421 and 6786 ALGO for a total of $2843 or 13k ALGO at around 21c.
Today, I withdrew my LP tokens and received $1293 and 7536 ALGO for a total of $2586.
After I converted my USDC to ALGO, I ended up with 15.1k ALGO for a gain of 2.1k ALGO.
Although I lost $128 USDC and and $257 of my total deposit, I regain it all if ALGO moves back up to .188.
At the same time, I gained $15 in trading fees.
There are strategies to minimizing impermanent loss and I think I have a solid strategy that will allow me to beat price moves up and down.

General tips:
Keep track of the units and price of the assets you deposit.
If the $ price goes up and you suspect it will drop, withdraw and convert all to USDC so you can buy the asset at a lower price.

I agree. That's why the markets need to be monitored more closely if you are participating in LPs vs HODLing, so you can exit the Pool strategically and swap to $ to asset or vice versa.
It's been an interesting week that's for sure and have learned a lot about how price movements affect the balance of your assets.
I've also noticed that the price of LP tokens also change during these price movements.
There are times when you are getting more for your deposit so make sure to keep that in mind. At least that's what I've noticed on ALGO's blockchain.
XRPL doesn't show LP price, I hope they add that when the lending protocol becomes active.
I was earning around 50% APY in this pool that allowed you to get fees for trading, farming, and staking.

What will most likely cause this crash?
I foresee three potential causes.

1. In addition to setting the fine amount for Ripple, Judge Torres may place an injunction on ODL sales of XRP in the US.
This is something the SEC is seeking.
Many of us have only been focusing on the fine, and forget the injunction part of the lawsuit also still remains to be done.
Jeremy Hogan is predicting that Judge Torres will carve out an exception for Ripple and allow them to continue doing ODL sales of XRP in the US.

2. Immediately after Ripple pays it's fine to the SEC, the SEC will file an appeal.
Robbing XRP holders of any sort of sense of completion, and quickly starting a new lawsuit.
Or, they may let us have a little bit of celebration and price bump, and then at the last moment file the lawsuit.

3. Bitcoin crashes, and takes the whole market with it, including XRP.

The other possibility is that this could just be a random image of the XRP logo on a coin, that just happens to have copper written on the side.
Not everything is a clue.
As much as we hate how Ripple employs a company to suppress the price of XRP using trading bots, there is a chance that they will also not let XRP fall too low.
XRP is mockingly called a stable coin for a reason.

Right after we win at the Supreme Court we should at least pump past all time high of $3.84, which will hopefully coincide with the last ISO 20022 deadline that is set for November 2025.
In between now and then, Ripple should launch its stable coin, and congress will hopefully pass some crypto regulation that favors xrp and Ripple, and fucks over xrp's competitors.

There is a tiny hope that we could get a nice bump right after Ripple pays it's fine and we find out about any injunctions in a few months.
But I wouldn't count on that.
The SEC filing an appeal is probably going to hurt the price of xrp for a bit.

Last July, Judge Torres ruled that XRP is not a security,
that programmatic sales (sales on exchanges) are not securities,
and Ripple giving XRP to their employees are not securities.
Judge Torres ruled that only direct sales of XRP from Ripple to investors were securities.
The SEC did not like the first part of her ruling.
They want all forms of XRP being sold, to be ruled as securities.
This gives them far more control and jurisdiction over the crypto market, and would greatly increase the amount of the fine they could charge Ripple.
The SEC has publicly said on multiple occasions that they plan on appealing all the way up to the Supreme Court, those portions of Judge Torres' ruling.

Judge Torres ruling on the programmatic sales restricts the SEC's scope of authority over the entire crypto industry.
The SEC doesn't want the CFTC to have any jurisdiction over crypto.
They want it all for their agency.
But the only way that can happen is it all crypto sales are securities, except for Bitcoin.
There is also pride and prestige at stack here.
Ripple's partial win on the programmatic sales makes the SEC look weak, and like they overreached with their lawsuit against Ripple.
They are asking for a $2 billion fine from Ripple.
Which would be the largest fine ever in the history of the SEC.
But imagine if Judge Torres chops that fine down to $100 million or even only $20 million.
That would be further humiliation and embarrassment for the SEC.
Appealing the lawsuit would also let them seek getting that higher dollar amount fine they want.

The SEC can focus on multiple lawsuits at the same time.
They will just hire more people.
Depending on what their goal is, they don't even need to be competent people.
Just the act of launching a lawsuit against a company is hugely damaging.

I have no idea what he thinks, and we have no idea why exactly he left. There are millions of reasons outside the company's future.
