if humanity would stop deluding itself about the purpose, function, and significance of relationships, it would have long already integrated a system of rules, akin to driving rules, which would help men and women navigate the sexual landscape appropriately instead of bumbling about like clueless idiots for generations

sexual attraction has very little to do with how much work you put into trying to look good, because your looks are a facade. When you choose to procreate, you choose to do so with the "ugly" side of your partner. The "fancy" side only exists for a brief moment and only in public, never in private.

The truth of life and death is that you were designed by nature to attract a certain partner who was also designed by nature to attract you. And the "game" of procreation depends on your ability to find that partner. Procreation is about the hunt and the search, it is not about winning over a partner that wasn't designed for you

Sex, love, and procreation come with a set of multi-layered rules: your biochemical system, your personality, your instincts and reflexes, your circumstances and background.
