>>20198984Definitely not my distro (NixOS), it's for autists and developers. Avoid meme distros such as Pop OS, Bazzite, Nobara, Manjaro, etc.
-If Ubuntu is solid but the forced steam snap will certainly cause issues.
-Linux Mint is decent but I personally hate XFCE and Cinnamon.
-There's Fedora and OpenSuse Tumbleweed which are both solid distros but have h264 codec licensing issues like Windows. You'll need to research how to enable them (rpmfusion and opi codecs respectively). They have versions that ship with KDE as well (windows like desktop)
-Arch Linux is really good if you're brave or have experience. Only use it if you're willing to get your hands dirty and have things go wrong.
-Debian is also rock solid but it moves extremely slowly, new major releases only ship every 2 years. If you use flatpaks, it could be a decent experience. I use Debian on my server.
Give them all a try and you'll probably find one you're comfortable with.
