A couple hours ago my boomer foreman decided one of the other trades were playing their music too loud. Instead of him politely asking them to turn it down a little bit he walks by them and says "can that nigger music be any louder?" Mind you, one of the guys was a black dude. Welp the general immediately kicked him off the jobsite and my foreman acted surprised and frustrated at receiving consequences. Knowing the people I work for, he won't be fired nor receive anything other than a "don't say it out loud next time" and then everyone will complain about free speech cancel culture blah blah blah. Already planned on jumping ship and didn't need more of a reason but here we are.
