>>2020879>Hence you can't have fun because other people are having more fun than you? I'm not sure I fully understand your argument.you clearly dont because
>you can't have fun because other people are having more fun than youis not the point
the point is that because others are better at doing things, their doing of things is more valued. because in the modern era, only the Apex Thing is valued, all other things are shunned. thus, if you are not the best at what you do, you will be shunned. it is better to be not shunned than to be shunned, for hopefully obvious and probably self-evident reasons.
so, life is bad and meaningless for most people (since by definition only a few people can be The Best) because life will only lead to being shunned for most people
>>2020899> If you want to bring up the uncertainty principle, that is just about random movement and the impossibility to measure the position of an electron.thats not how quantum theory works at all and i really wish people would stop treating it like that
reality is 100% deterministic
the problem with measuring small particles is that you have to use an instrument upon them to measure, thereby changing their state
on large scales, the same operation is still like that, but it doesnt matter. heisenberg's own example is that to measure the length of an object, you have to touch it with a ruler, thereby doing some tiny bit of damage to it, and changing the actual size of it. you can only know the NEW length of it after you struck it with a ruler. but because you can be gentle, and the length is only to a pretty big tolerance, you ignore the "damage"
but with individual electrons, you basically have to measure lasers with other lasers. my personal analogy for it is that you essentially have to measure the data of a thrown baseball by launching another baseball at it. you have to make a lot of assumptions, and even then, there are so many dependent variables that some independent ones are simply lost
