If you like it dark and rife with suicidal ideation, you will love my little EP, ‘Digital Dopamine’. Inspired by the greats, such as: NIN, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Stabbing Westward, Bauhaus, orgy, Silversun Pickups, The Cure, Garbage, Elliott Smith, Opeth, Dream Theater, Depeche Mode, Velvet Underground, Tool, APC and more. I sing and compose all the backing instruments on the EP. The album is a ‘concept album’, that was conceived of when I was rebounding from MDMA, just got cheated-on and left by my then-soulmate of 9 years, and had made several suicide attempts. The opening track is an instrumental, that may be skipped by impatient listeners. ‘Cosmic Collapse’ is a slow, swooning love-song with suicidal under-tones, but I opted to take a heavier approach on tracks like ‘Depths of Hell’ and ‘Electromasochism’. What do you industrial/darkwave/prog-rock fans think of my humble creative outpouring? I haven’t received much feedback, and would appreciate any input.
