She clearly doesn't JUST want the cake. Look at her face, she's being torn apart by the inner conflict and guilt she's experiencing over whether or not she should eat the cake. She has an eating problem and she knows it, but she's unable or unwilling to exercise any self restraint over her eating. She knows it's going to kill her one day and she doesn't want to die like that, but food is the only thing that numbs the wounds she suffered during her upbringing. This is the face of neglect, of abuse, of molestation and of abandonment. Only a true autist would think she just wants the cake.
