>>2029847It really, REALLY did. For 1 1/2 days, /mlpol/ was the best board on the site. The amount of OC, really GOOD quality OC, was mind-boggling. It was almost like being on old /b/ again. I've got a whole folder full of stuff produced from April 1st and 2nd. Discussion of politics and MLP was excellent and well-spoken, and people found so many creative ways to fuse the two together. Even brit/pol/ and /sg/ got involved.
But most importantly, all the normalfag redditors left. We know this because aside from the sudden spike in quality, people found multiple posts on r/the_donald and r/4chan complaining about the sudden influx of pony stuff, and how this was clearly a conspiracy by the mods to shut down their alt-right activism. It was even beneficial for /mlp/, because they got a red board for horse porn and all the easily offended members of their community fucked off cause of the nazi stuff.
I want it back. I think it was even work out for the mods, because I'm certain /mlpol/ would be a lot easier to monitor than the current state of /pol/ right now. The very fact that /bant/ was created at all means that /pol/ is a big hassle for them right now.
