>>20292788Yeah, we do, but it depends on where you go and how large your uni is. Small universities and colleges (In the US, the two are usually synonymous for your undergraduate degree) don't really have large waiting lists, so being on one is a mixed bag w/ no guarantees.
For large universities, being in 6th is perfectly fine. People will change their schedules or drop out after the first 1-3 weeks, and by then you can get in.
When I was new to college, I had a counselor that was able to force me into an engineering graphics & design class despite the fact that I was on a waiting list. University faculty vary wildly though, so I wouldn't necessarily count on them to do such a thing. Still, it could be worth talking to one, or to your advisor if you've been given one. Fuck advisors though, always be cautious around them. There's a conflict of interest between students and advisors, since advisors work for the university & the university needs as much money from you as possible without delaying your graduation too much. In Norway, it will likely be different, but this is my experience as a college megasenior.
