Your instincts are in control. Trust the plan. Women are pack animals. If one publicly shames you, the rest will follow. Your body and mind know to hide your affections and feelings for her because if she rejects you, you will be shunned by the rest of the females in her social circle(office). This is why some young males go through school without being vulnerable to the opposite sex. It's an instinctual fear of rejection. Don't shit where you eat. The proper therapy is rejection therapy, but not in your office. Go out and get rejected by women you will never meet again and have no ties to nay of your social circle. It's much safer and more effective.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Though it's not like I was going to cold ask this woman out. I am safely assuming she has a BF because if picrel is a 10/10, the girl in my office is a 9.5/10. And there's no way a woman that good looking stays single if she's out of a relationship.
I just need more practice with small talk is all.

The social dance is a skill that can be learned. Keep in mind what I said about social ostracization via female rejection. It's instinctual. Once you understand why you feel a way, you can take steps to change. Good luck bro.

I've lost 28lbs in the past 4 months and I can feel my shoulders getting bigger from lifting. 40lbs to go. Once I'm looking better I'm going to get lasik correction for my eyes. It would definitely help me w/ being more confident. I'm tall so that helps but only goes so far.

act like a child. I'm serious. Look how children interact with others. They are candid, curious, and they don't have prejudice. I don't mean you should do stupid child things of course, just adopt their attitude.

that's fine too if they feel engaged like that. I tend to ask "what have you been doing recently/last weekend/etc" and if they want to know what I did, I'll tell what I've been doing too
