If the fed raises interest rates, it costs more to service their debt, and inflation rises. If the fed lowers interest rates, people will use the funny money to buy up more assets raising the price of all goods causing inflation. In either case, we have more inflation.

This. They literally can't fix inflation without doing something creative to the currency. Like Mexico did when they cut a zero off all their bills, or like Zimbabwe did when they swapped to "new" bills and said the old ones were worthless.
I expect a "new" digital USD in the next decade or so that will make all cash worthless.

China sold off most of their treasuries already. #1 Pacific ally Japan on the other hand has FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS and they're not letting USDJPY go past 160.
