I get somewhat motivated by the strive for opulence. Actually I get motivated by the strive for anything really, as long as I'm earnestly striving. Getting closer to my goals gives me a sense of purpose and success, and occasionally failure.

I think I've recently cultivated it. I just used to chill and play vidya when I was younger, did all the homework at school and got good grades but had little motivation or drive. Investing and exercise lit my fire.
