I'm a huge disappointment to my parents, and although they don't say it directly, I just know it breaks their heart seeing other men my age being more successful, having accomplished more. I recently stumbled across a Greek song, and one of the lyrics kicks me straight in the gut. Feels bad man.

The specific lyrics:
>Ξενοδούλευε η μάνα
>κι ο πατέρας στο γιαπί,
>καμαρώνανε το γιο τους
>που τους γέμισε ντροπή
Translation:
>My mother was working as a maid
>and my father in the construction site
>they were really proud for their son
>who was an embarrassment (or "who filled them with shame" depending on the translation)
How do I cope? All I wanted was to make my parents proud.
