10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Jesus being God’s will and Word (Logos) incarnate corporeally in creation, fully exercised the will of the Lord as no fallen human being is able, thereby redeeming humanity by an exemplar. He submitted himself to torturous death itself in our most humiliated human form, and in doing so abolished the fear of death which defines humanity, and conquered death itself for us, through sincere faith in Him. That through death he may destroy the power of death. Thanato thanaton patisas.
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came an upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
One who truly understands Christ would never fancy himself righteous for a second. We are vile and wretched, and yet through Christ are offered perfect redemption for free.
