I think we all imagined ourselves going on some grand adventure, fulfilling some sort of purpose, falling in love, etc. Then the true mediocrity and melancholy of life sets in and you find yourself vulnerable and you want to chase some kind of semblance of what was once your hopes and dreams.
In a moment of weakness, you give yourself to someone. You lie to yourself and think it'll give you some sort of momentary relief, but instead, you realize it's just an act of defeat. Shallow, pointless and further straying you away from what you truly desire. It's not an act of love, passion or meaning. You're likely not even attracted to the person you're with on a physical or mental basis and have nothing in common. It is simply you trying to feel something as you are raping yourself.
All you can do is remain in a disassociated, emotionless state as you go through the actions of something that is meant to be anything but that.
