I don't know how true that much actually is, but the real benefit is the membership fee keeps the usual walmart scum out. Also buying larger quantities of things from costco is definitely cheaper than buying shit from normal stores if you price it out, but you pay for that by taking up more storage space in your home (which again, filters the negros...)
