>>2033305I used to believe in the Moral Arc of the universe narrative, but after seeing how Greece was treated in 2015, I just saw how much of a sick joke liberalism was where ideals of "united in diversity" and "european solidarity" were preached but seldom practiced. In the run-up to Brexit and Trump (as a remain voter), I had realised that for all the preaching of equality and justice, it was dropped like a tonne of bricks when convenient (see Trudeau's arms sales to Saudi Arabia). I genuinely believe that trump came about because Liberalism had clearly failed to uphold its purported ideals. When I saw Macron, I remember a sense of disgust, and rooted for Fillon. /pol/ may be horrible, but you know where they stand, whereas liberal equivalents will just lie through their teeth and put on a coat of bullshit. In a way, I have far more respect for Marxists and socialists, because they openly display their colours.
