If you install the POSReady security patches (they can be installed to regular Win7), Windows 7 is up-to-date even today, last security rollup was 5 days ago
>https://vulners.com/mskb/KB5037780And disable all unnecessary shit like Internet Printing, Telnet, etc. there are no services or ports open which one could attack you, no connections are made to the internet in the background, you can verify this with tools such as Wireshark.
Meanwhile in Win10 onwards, it's impossible to even disable many of the Windows backdoor shit, when you open Wireshark it literally lights up a flood of background connections doing all sorts of telemetry shit and automatic update checks which can be hijacked to backdoor your PC and who knows what else.
The only problem with Win7 is that lazy software vendors are dropping support for it.
Otherwise you could keep using it basically forever, it's very much a "complete" set of software that there is really not anything new in Win10/11 which isn't bullshit.
