Since it's pretty calm i'm gonna share my today's slurps. I've rarely got a day like that, many great deals.

First was this lot for 48€ total (idk why but US junk is always stupid cheap here). If this half 1925 Stone Mountain is legit* it will pay for the entire lot and some extra.
*Should be since i've already bought few times from this seller and it always was good stuff.

Gave me some cortisone spinal injections to ease the inflammations on top of nabucox and then they gave me the drip and i blackouted. Was good to finally sleep, the pain was keeping me awake for the past 3 days even though i was already taking 600mg tramadol daily on top of the Anti-TNF alpha syringues. Idk why my spine is decided to make me miserable this month. Maybe it's to make sure i don't miss any good deal on ebay lol.

Yeah it's not clear if it's the low quality pic or if the coin is a fake. And these days phones are literally imagining the photos into reality. I'll report back once it arrive home, but i'm fairly confident bcuz in my experience this is a serious seller who never disappointed.

You go on ebay and type "silver" in the search bar, then you scout for auctions ending soon.
It's literally that simple fren.

At least that's how you get started.
Later on you'll make your own cooking with the options & keywords the more experienced you become. There isn't a magical formula per say, but once you lurked long enough you start to identify some patterns and it become easier to find deals others users didn't notice (that's where the best deals are made). It may include key words you never thought about, targeting the description rather than the titles, a specific geographic location, various subcategories, going after newly listed items rather than ending soon...
Don't hesitate to save all kind of prefered searches settings (it's done in a click with the blue heart) and SAVE your favorite sellers too. Few are true golden gooses who shart up .999 eggs on a weekly.

My post may sound a bit cryptic since you aren't familiar with the platform yet, but to keep it simple treat fleabay as 4chin when you started : Lurk 200 more years + train your eyes to filter the shitpost away (98%). It will come naturally, just lurk first.
Any coin you don't know about, you go to numista to check it out. The first few months i made myself pen and paper sheets with popular coins and every year of interest for each to help me memorize it, and it was faster than jewgling it.

Because you can't. You can check the fine prints on Blackrock's SLV contracts online. So you better be ready for a long battle with banksters if you want to cash out your paper, on top of having a shitload of cash ready.

Plus most of papers' buyers aren't interested in shinies, it's a speculative vehicle like any other to them. Here people are married to their stack, and i suspect a good half of anons would take their shinies out from the burning house before the wife.
But you don't marry SLV or GLD, you cash out after few months.

And volume wise, it wouldn't surprise me if the vast, vast majority of shares are held by institutions/hedgies/pension funds rather than private investors. And those institutions don't want to have anything to do with physical, they want something digitally liquid they can insure.

I agree completely. To elaborate, if you want to efficiently find and then slurp good deals consistently you need to have search strategies that include ones which winnow out the properly titled and described listings every lazy boomer and room-temp IQ stacker can find. Certain categories that normies don't look in and keywords or strings of words they are unaware of can be extremely productive, consistently yielding "sleeper" deals without having to spend all day scrolling through listings that everyone else can find and which usually sell far too high for a self-respecting slurper. You'll also develop a sense for the range of seller psychological profiles most likely to yield good deals and recognize them immediately just by the way they write and/or the way they take photos.

I don't really know tbdesu. It vary pretty widly month over month. And i know how much i sell gross, but it doesn't tell me at all how much i really net'd (and i don't have the patience to play the accountant so it's basically just from memory).
Not enough to make it a living if that's the question. At least not if you only spend just a hour or two a day like i do (most of which are spent identifying old coins and determining their value).

I would never believe you as a newfren because it sound so far fetched, but it's just totally true kek. My radar isn't nearly as sharp as yours, but now my eye naturally trained to detect certain kinds of lightning/coloring in the background of thumbnail pics, as well as distance coins>phone and i swear to God it's always those who yield the best results!

tbf initially there was no delivery mechanisms for SLV, but Blackrock implemented one after a confidence crisis back in 2011, for the same reason as now : people doubting there was anywhere enough physical to back up their shares.

Damn right! I guess the easiest way to summarize it is that honestly staged but more-or-less unprofessional pics are a common hallmark of promising cheapies. Thanks, and no there wasn't any reinforcing rod or lead-filled handles or anything, the 106g is all sterling. Made by the Elgin Silver Company (El-Sil-Co), model #1440. They're a bit bigger and thiccer than normal sets, though at around 120g the highest yielding weighted sugar and creamer sets I've scrapped were made by LaPierre, they produced some of the highest quality weighted silver.

The US government has printed so much money that the recession/business cycle has almost been delayed or fucked with, but my instinct says this will cost them more in the long run because the debt interest is going to kill the US in the mid/long-term.
Like anyone in the US should know that there's no fucking way they can continue to pay $1.xT of interest over several years without the country collapsing (even more). It's already at $1T.
But again, the key question is: how fucking long can the US just keep struggling under that debt load for?

Not as much but I'm sure it'll always be out there. Everything we see today survived the 1980 and 2011 peaks, back 44 years ago $50 was astronomical and although hardly anyone caught it they had a year of $20/oz silver, still a fortune back then, and a year was plenty of time to raid china cabinets and attics and send scrap to the refinery. We have lots of silverware made through the 60s-70s too unlike war-torn europoors, and although spoons might be scarce every Westerner has fresh young jewelry available to scrap. Even at $1000/oz I'm confident that we'll still be able to slurp dirt-cheapies fren, and we'll be much better at it than the newfag competition. Have you gotten any more nice 18th century silverware lately or just been focusing on numismatics?

Bought some more 1797 Cartwheel 1 and 2 pence copper chonkies. Getting a full Ruble of copper 5 Kopecks is easy, so I've decided to get a full Pound Sterling worth of copper cartwheels. It'll take a while to get 240 pence worth of 'em but those 15 pounds of copper will be mighty fun to fondle.
