finally a place to blog without making a thread of my own. anyways, /bant/babes, i was thinking that waltzes are one of the most lovely types of song, they can be gaudy sure, but when you dig deep into the style, you find a rich plethora of overwhelmingly lovely odes, an expression of delicate, yet everlasting love. some examples that come to mind are tchaikovsky's waltz of the flowers; chopin's opus 69 no. 1, opus 70 no. 3, and even his nocturne, opus 9 no.2; tarrega's gran valse; and even kreisler's liebesleid and liebesfreud. such richness in sonority, this style of music has been taken to the moon and back in terms of potential, and i am not planning to beat a dead horse, but attempt to capture just some of that inspired essence of loveliness which came long before me because when i think of even attempting to make an impression myself, i think back to that which left an impression on me.
