I think Boomers get too much hate from people that lack critical thinking skills. Most of the shit people bitch about wasn't even Boomer's faults.
>le gold standard in 1971!!!>le Vietnam war!!!!>le Korean War!!!!>le ww2!!!!>le ww1!!!!!>le Federal Reserve!!!!>le Social Security!!!>le Medicare!!!>le immigration policies of the 1960s!!!Boomers literally had 0 to do with any of that shit and in the case of the Vietnam War, they were the victims of those policies. They are the beneficiaries of Social Security and Medicare now, but they didn't create those policies. Boomers didn't even start getting political power until the late 1980s. Think about it, most people don't become politicians or bureaucrats until they're 40+. For fuck sakes, Biden isn't even a Boomer, he's from the generation before Boomers. Could Boomers change the policies now? Yes, they could. Will they? Fuck no.
Also, people fail to realize that sometimes generations in a family tree can be skipped. My grandpa was born in 1945, so he's an old Boomer. My dad was born in 1964, which means he's also a Boomer. I was born in 1994, so my family like skipped Gen-X and went to a Millenial. I probably won't have kids for another 5 to 10 years at minimum, which means my kids won't be born until the 2030s, maybe even 2040s.
Not to forget, all Boomers are not the same. Both of my parents are Boomers but they're are against basically 95% of everything the government does and they are fully aware that young people have gotten fucked over.
