>>20342777Depends on the person but for some is extremely hard and is related to a combination of genetic and social factors, the more problems with impulsive behaviour someone has, the hardest it is to quit smoking (or any drug, adictive behaviour like gambling etc).
I had a coworker who smoked and he literally said "I just cant quit, tried a ton of times, anxiety always overpowers me", the longest he lasted was for 4 days then he went out for a couple of drinks, had a beer, he went out of the pub with his friends and since that was when he always smoked in social gatherings the anxiety became unbearable and caved in, he says the hardest part are what he described as "ritual cigarettes" those he smokes as a ritual, not because he has withdrawal, for example, smoking one cigarette when having a coffee, smoking one after sex, or once you order your first beer when you are with your friends, he is a complete slave to nicotine, knows it and hates himself for it.
