Damn, you got banned for sharing that?? I used to sell veterinary med products so when the covid show was activated I already had thousands of doses of pure Ivermectin, lots of Chloroquine, and kilos or more of many different bulk antibiotics and antiparasitics. It was kinda surreal sitting on all that while watching people FOMO for "horse paste" as the MSM was FUDding and lying about all of the actually effective treatments 24/7 and the people spreading facts were getting censored and cancelled and de-banked en-masse. (((Their))) heavy crackdown on reality really freaked me out and contemplating how all that totalitarian bullshit might progress was mildly traumatizing. Anyway I highly recommend collecting meds and supplies and you're way ahead of the curve but can always stack more. I already had a lot but add to the pile when I can, got some sterile sealed curved suture needles with thread recently which might be pretty handy if SHTF.

You mistook me for him in the last thread. Elemental Direct is one of the largest refineries in the US and they
1)Require a tax ID
and
2) Pay out around 90% for sterling, slightly less for 80%(800). Not everyone can drive to your super special refinery in the middle of buttfuck west USA and avoid paying shipping to have their stuff melted down. When you take the cost of shipping into account, yes it ends up being 80-90% payout in the spot value of the product with your numbers.

I'm finna just roundup and state that 1 person out of 400 is actually able to redeem any of those 1000-5000 oz silver bars. The supply is entirely artificial and about an eighth of a century ago the paper silver ratio was half of whay it is today. I've read that post 2008, there hasn't been much real growth aside from the stoxk exchange markets which have since then gone entirely online, further obfuscating any ownership and accountability.

It doesn't matter what a different company does, that's like saying the grocery prices in the interior of northern Alaska are relevant to you or me down in civilization. I've only ever used and recommended PG&G and so can anyone else in the country without any red-tape or hoop-jumping.

The cost of shipping would be like $30 for mailing a big load to be sold, I don't mess around with small sub-100oz batches so if I wasn't refining then the payout would always be at the 92% rate. If I only sent the bare minimum amount to get the 92% payout the expense of shipping would be 1%, and a net 91% payout is significantly better than the 80% payout you asserted that I or anyone else might receive.

That said, did ebay/amazon reverse-traded those as they did with hydrogel and masks? I remember there were a bunch of sellers who lost more than their shirts who were paraded in the national news as the new Al Capones for selling glorified soap at x100 normal prices. Under the gubment pressure, Amazon and Ebay did refund all buyers on the sellers' dimes.

I found that offer on French amazon and it says it's pvc. It's definitively not safe for coins. It cause that greasy green "rot" on silver and it can literally dissolve the surface of non-precious or billon coins. But you only see impact after few years. It's a ticking bomb. That's why all serious coin/banknote storage stuff have huge "non-pvc" label on it. You should only buy accessories from reputable European or American companies.

Thing is those supple pockets are really convenient, especially since i ship coins, i usually put the coin in one of those flip then in a rigid toploader (the kind used for pokemon/MTG cards) and bubble envelop and i know the coin will be safe during transportation and easy for the buyer to open. I sometimes have nightmare from sellers wrapping their coins in 1000 layers of tape and cardboard. I appreciate the time spent but in truth i've more chances to damage the stuff trying to get rid of all this crap than if it was left almost unprotected.

Especially for ancient coins. They are a pain to store because they are so thick they never fit in a capsule, so i put them in soft pockets, but the last thing i'd want would be to chemically damage them this way.

Yeah man at most, and those old expired packs were probably rescued from a dumpster and worthless just prior to the disaster. Bulk KI is really cheap, probably still around $100/kg or less but I haven't looked in several years. Seeing people sell ~20 cents worth of a really common simple chemical (somewhat degraded old yellowed stuff at that) for 200,000% gains totally blew my mind. Back in 2011 things were more lax so as long as they didn't go afoul of restrictions against overt exploitation of the crisis by mentioning Fukushima or spreading fear the listings stayed up, I bet those sellers paid off their homes after just a few weeks.

I'm a little over halfway through and while its good, the author starts kvetching about mint director Snowden when it comes to silver. That's a good goal. How many sources of income do you have? (no need to answer) but have you considered a 2nd job? Or donating plasma? I was donating plasma for a while until my aunt started paying me to do yard work and odd jobs. Pay is slightly less but so is the amount of time I'm putting in. Though she's going to rent out her property and move in w/ her BF so I'll probably be back to the plasma place in a few months.

I view books like I do PMs and always prefer physical, but probably should have looked for a free digitized copy to share, my bad. You're welcome m8, regarding "liquidation" are you the pawn shop anon? If so I'd definitely recommend calling PG&G to get a better understanding of how it works and what is available to you, if you're regularly buying scrap gold and silver and also have clientele interested in stacking it may be more profitable to get their appealing 1/10oz gold rounds (NGL their larger poured gold bars look like shit lol) and 5 or 10 oz silver bars to them sell at a premium sent back to you instead of just cash, or maybe a 50/50 split if you need some fiat to keep the gears greased. One caveat is that with PMs so high I'd bet they're extra busy now, so you may have to wait a while for the bullion to be ready.

Sorry for the confusion that's just a screenshot of a $1000 salad serving pair on eBay, I've only owned this normal teaspoon in that pattern and would never scrap such pieces even if they weren't worth multiples of melt. Wish I had the funds to go after the huge heavy old museum-quality stuff out there, or collect the magnificent mixed metals pieces like pic made by master Japanese metalworkers that were brought to the US in the 1870s-90s to practice their art for rich piggus at companies like Gorham and Whiting. Impressive. My IDDQD financial portfolio is 1200toz silver, 24toz gold and a few toz platinum. The silver I can get within two years as long as the price is below $50/toz (may take longer). But gold... I got a ways to go.

Spotted an ancient Indian artifact while out looking for treasure earlier, i reflexively picked it up then replaced it to take the pic. Got it soaking in acid now to remove the caliche calcium deposits encrusting the bottom half. It's a "mano" grinding stone with a very clearly ground-down working face on the bottom, and on the exposed top side it has a shallow pecked convexity in the middle indicating it was also used as a nutting/anvil stone upon which things were smashed. Didn't find any shiny rocks on my jaunt this time but was pleased to bring this one home, happy hunting frens.

Kinda surreal to be holding over $1/gram, we've been abused so long I'm still braced for the usual beatdown but maybe this is actually it? Back in autumn 2020 I told people IRL and wrote in notes included with bullion i gifted to 2 nostack friends that I expected 2024 to be the year we'd see big moves and to hold at least until then. Fun story related to that : i offered a 2RM to a fren and she put it in the change bowl on her dresser. A month later she forgot about it and picked some coins to go to the boulangerie to buy a baguette and she handed the cashier the 2RM (it's the size of our 1€ coins). Apparently the manager cashier girl kept her cool and simply said those aren't accepted in this establishment (yet).
Their loss, if she knew how much it was worth she probably wouldn't have said anything.

Speaking of little profits i received an absurd amount of orders the past few days, just didn't have time to take pics to share with the frens.

Among those were two "gamble" orders i made containing mostly old copper coins. One costed me 80€, the other 30€.
I thought the 80€ one was packed with value, but in the end it was mostly crap and in worse condition than expected. Definitely gonna lose few bux on this one.
But the 30 bux one.. oh boy oh boy! Filled with goodies, some super rare stuff from Greece, Paraguay, Chile, etc.. Will effortlessly be a x10 banger (well, once i find buyers for this obscur stuff). Cherry on top of the cake were a bunch of 2th/3rd portrait Victoria's Farthings/Pennies in truly MINT condition. It will make few happy bong collectors i'm sure.

I directly go to the source and order from german LCSs. Finding an address isn't the most difficult part, it's to keep checking every day their stocks to be the first one once they get replenished then slurp it all ASAP (sorry germbros). The 2 stores i usually order from now get replenished maybe twice a year in big windmills so you better have enough cash ready when it occurs. They used to get replenished in a week when i started to load up on RMs back in 2021. The reichsmark drying up is more than real.

I was given a birth year ASE when I was really young too, my first ounce of bullion. Naturally I still have it, though the edge is dinged up because I used to enjoy rolling that big coin down ramps to see how far it would go. In 2011 I could ship goods in bubble mailers that weighed up to 3oz globally for only $1.61! A prank my dad used to do was sneak onto someone's lawn and write a message with fertilizer (not destructive like salt), then jostle the grass so the fertilizer falls down and out of sight. Several weeks later big lush verdant letters would emerge from the surrounding lawn spelling out what he wrote. Dunno if it would be worth the personal legal risk and the invitation to publicly kvetch that a big green lawn swastika would give a Jew, but if you target a large public space instead then the visibility and impact made by writing something clever with fertilizer on a place like a grassy hillside near a moderate/high traffic road would definitely get the town talking and be worth the minimal risk

You should watch videos of the 3rd world fisherman who fill weighted ~16oz plastic water bottles with ANFO and insert a fuse with a homebrewed blasting cap into the middle then light and toss it into the water to stun/kill nearby fish, which then float up and get collected. Horrible for the ecosystem but those water bottle ANFO bombs are pretty fuckin' cool.

Pretty damn big boi, the heaviest i came across i believe -at least for France, i know scotts liked out of the ordinary sized ones-. Not a pro in heraldic/coat of arms identification, but that's a big plus, it usually adds 40% of value on this kind of items from my exp., more if it's from high aristrocracya /well known dynasty. Me think i'll have to plunge my nose in digitalized old dusty grimoires for the coming days.

Damn, very nice spoons man! 190g is indeed a formidable mass for one of those, pieces which anglos usually call "stuffing spoons". Pardon my ignorance but I thought .950 was the normal standard fineness, is .960 a different standard? Or did the legally mandated purity get changed at times, like with England and their .958 "Britannia" instead of .925 sterling silver? Or is .950 mostly a post-revolution alloy?

Sorry if i got you confused. In truth every time i say .958 it's because that was the minimum legally allowed for silverware, and it was tested at least annually by the fermiers généraux (regional tax collectors). If you were a silversmith you wouldn't take a chance ending up below that threshold and lose your license as maitre-orfèvre (and risk a big fine/prison), so the norm was for them to be at .960 even if the minimum legal requirement was set at .958.

And you are correct, after the revolution the requirement was lessened down to .950 up until 1973, when it once again was put down to the usual .925 sterling who is now the norm everywhere.

Big or smol I'd stack 'em all, I don't really see much of it IRL so I don't know Hanau hallmarks well. Hanau silver is a popular focus for many specialist collectors, lots of very ornate stuff came from there. My favorite kind of demi spoons are the colorful guilloche sterling QTs made further north, there are a fair number of different styles that were sold in cased sets of 6 or 12, i need to get me some of those.

Literally the jews of silversmiths. Since Hanau was a free-city in the German States with a special duty-free status, they didn't have to conform to regulations concerning hallmarks (who before all is the proof you paid your taxes on the silver).
So they used all kind of fantasy marks. And since french gastronomy and "savoir vivre à la française" was very popular in Europe back then, 90% of them ended up copying royal french hallmarks.
Twice already i've been fooled by their crap. Once you look closely the hallmarks it's obviously very easy to tell the real french stuff from their fantasy marks, but when you purchase tarnished, dirty silverware taken with with 3310 potato pics it's impossible to tell until you get it in your hands.

Forks' tins tend to get shaved pretty hard over centuries of use, scratching against the ceramic over and over again, and knives... well you don't cut through more than butter and cakes with silver blades, but iron blades are nothing but dust after so long.

So we end up with spoons. And diminished forks. Few fruit knives with silver blades from that era still exist, but they tend to be very expensive. And the handle often needs serious upkeep.

That's a very good question fren, since the entire silver business was loosely regulated by a guild, there wasn't a golden rule.
