The documentary was written from the viewpoint that ancient Egyptians were Sub-Saharan Africans, up to and including Cleopatria (the entirety of Egypt was dark skinned blacks in the doc not just her), and then all of these darkies were swept aside in the Arab conquests. That's the actual theory. They never say it directly but it's obvious reading them. They don't do any historical research, they do no genetic analysis, they just make up a theory, run with it, and call anyone racist who challenges them. They're anti-science and anti-enlightenment.
At some level I think they know it's bullhsit, and they instead just want a fantasy to make themselves feel better.
