I immediately disregard the opinions of anyone who self diagnoses themselves with autism.
People latch onto the funny quirks of autism but forget the inexplicable ruin it causes: even HF’s will often be mentally incapable of taking care of themselves in some way, or will be plagued by special interests they can’t escape for their whole lives.
A lot of people seem to confuse adhd and anxiety with autism.
Worst part is that everyone claiming to have it makes getting help for it impossibly difficult.
Autism is not something you’d celebrate or publicize if you had it, outside of trying to cope. I was diagnosed long before everyone started calling themselves autistic, my state of living is a constant rat’s nest, yet here all these self proclaimed autists are leading normal lives with normal social skills, just a bit more introverted.
