Language learning discussion thread.

Been using Duolingo to learn Russian, and I'm wondering what crazy ideas some of you guys have come up with to learn Russian/languages faster.

Been having issues remembering shit. I mean, I've learned a decent amount, nowhere near enough to read whole sentences or chat, but I can't remember Russian words as easily as, say, an article, or a scientific fact.
