Bluepill, redpill, blackpills etc are not the truth, they are a truth.
They do not define your reality, they define a reality you decided to adhere to. They represent a framework laid out by someone else, narrowed in a way that leave little room for a bigger picture.
Most people are NPCs who respond to their programming, they are conditioned to believe a certain way and usually only question it within the constraints of their indoctrination. Conditioning is learned. Genes respond to the environment, but humans generate that environment through abstractions. It is possible to mold your environment and/or mold that of others hence influence your genes to make you act out of imposed programming. That is how you make your own pills.
Also, "God" is real and so is the purgatory. Don't let other people tell you what's good for you or the salvation of your soul. You have all the answers you need.
