In the modern United States, do you get the sense that adult life for men starts at 26 these days?
At 22 you're probably just leaving college. At 23 and 24 you're either trying to find a job relevant to your career, still in school, or just starting an entry level job.
25 is also a fair cutoff point, but really, you're still on your parents' health insurance at that point. You're not really a fully independent individual unless your parents were pieces of shit.
