all those windows with warm colored lights, they dont even use those lights anymore, theyre a different color now. its crazy.
When i see those buildings, im reminded of the office environment of the 90s, all those well adjusted people, stable employment, a country with prospects. I was lucky enough to visit a lot of places like that during those days, and looking back, it was really nice vibe.
Honestly, i miss uniforms, if any of you remember the burgerking uniforms from the late 89 - 90s you know what i mean.
Stuff like that just projected a feeling of a functioning country.
Everything is awful now, its bleak, theres a cloud of anger and anxiety everywhere. Uniforms are bleak and boring, if theyre even there at all, air travel is resembling bus travel.. if you know what i mean. Its all just so shitty.
For me, japan was the last vestige of this kind of feeling. Japan even has these warm colored lights in their office buildings. People are still working, enjoying steady employment, people graduating school have real prospects, the society is clean and functions well.
However, japan is quickly globalizing, and as it does, i can see that last sliver of humanity fading. Without it, theres not a whole lot left to enjoy.
